The problem we are having is that Acrobat is bugging users to fix what it thinks are problems with the install. The users aren’t admins so it’s pointless to prompt them. To fix this, we need to edit the Acrobat Self-Healing XML file.
- Open /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/AcroEFGPro90SelfHeal.xml in TextEdit
- Do a Find & Replace all YES with NO
- Do a Find & Replace all <string>REQUIRED with <string>NO
Now use ARD to blast the new XML file to all your machines. The users will still get an Admin prompt on Acrobat startup but they can just cancel. Annoyances like this make me want to stop using Acrobat altogether.
