I’vebeen having issues with a Color LaserJet 5550 freezing daily. After talking to HP, they instructed me to re-initialize the disks. Here are the steps.
- Power off the printer
- Power on the printer
- When the printer starts counting the memory, press and hold “Menu”
- When all three lights are lit steady, press the back arrow
- The display will show “INITIALIZE DISKS” press the check mark to confirm
This seemed to solve the issue so far. I will update this post if this solution fails.
